Friday morning, mom dropped me at college probably after many days got the chance to walk the bethany hills. Meekha mam took class since other teachers were busy with camp work. The remaining seminar session was conducted, Sister Lighty and Devika chechi engagingly handled the session..  In between the break time Aparna chechi. officially invited us to attend her wedding which falls the coming month. After lunch too we had optional class, in between our break inspecting team came and the phonetic lab session was conducted for them since this was new for them. Around 3:45 got out and Sree priya dropped me back home. The back ride with the soothing winds bethany had a yet another feeling to express.. may be the poet in me would one day capture those and frame, so as to replay  more for the days I wish it could happen again and again...  An end to this week's mirage moments. 

 Today lot more students came first hour our optional class mam gave notes on Micro teaching, explained about lesson plan that we need to prepare in future. After having a coffee the next session started principal sir continued yesterday's portion. Sir initially gave some ideas about how to prepare notes, how to jot down points in a way that helps us to perform better academically. The suggestion to keep a five subject notebook to lessen our load and the idea to mark important questions using colour code like using red ink for most important and frequently asked questions, blue ink for occasionally asked ones and green for rarely asked ones etc  were the tips to  make us score more than 90% which is the goal sir is aiming at. This inspiring and beneficial tips were given by Sir before getting into the days session.  Moving to the class, the second skill stimulus variation was taught.  Should I go or not to go the day begun in a dilemma, but finally made the decision and went to college. First hour was occupied by our Principal sir, today's topic was" Skill based Instructional Design:an introduction " The class was about Micro and Macro teaching sir gave a detailed explanation of the topic after which sir moved on to the term " Skill " Skill is a combination of 'n' number of facts ie, composite process. For a teacher" meta cognitive skill "is a requirement. Sir also taught about the various teaching skills a teacher should possess." A student mind should be  'Tabula Rasa' (a Spanish word) that is it should be in clear state then only can a teacher draw new things on it", the main skill a teacher need to develop. After principal sir session we went to take break, had a hot coffee which set my mind ready for the coming hours. Giby miss came, discussed on two more scope of Education psychology. After the class

 Tuesday morning, when entered class almost all were absent since it was KSRTC strike lot of my classmates were absent for the day. We all didn't had the mood to study( the almost void classroom atmosphere drained the energy within us)  Ancy mam continued her class little more on the topic communication was taught. Maya mam came next, mam started off with sharing her experiences of COVID 19. Mam had undergone it her intention of sharing the story was to motivate us to not be scared as well as to be cautious of our hygiene and health. Mam finished off Realism today. After the class went to canteen to take a break. Principal sir took the next hour. Sir continued his discussion on the Early steps in Teaching and Pedagogy.  The three main dimensions that is behaviourism, constructivism and cognitivism were discussed. After which moved on to phases of teaching ie, pre- active, interactive and post-active. The class ended with the topic Basic Teaching Models. Entry behaviour which denote

A new week, headed to college early. When entered all were busy studying when enquired it was idealism and naturalism Yaya! Maya miss had told to prepare for a test today. After a week's break Anushya Chechi came that too this day (it was her birthday💁). Today's phonetic lab exercise was given by Jis, a student from another class was made to learn the pronunciation of two new words.  First hour Giby miss taught more on the scope of educational psychology. Today's topic was learning environment. After that Maya miss came we all were busy preparing but to our surprise mam didn't conduct. Since new students were there who are yet to get notes she decided to post pone the test. Mam after finishing off realism moved on to the topic Maxims of teaching. Maxims meant maximum teaching. A few terms that come under were General - particular, seen - unseen etc...  We also learned about Herbartian steps involved in lesson planning. We even worked out a code to memorize the steps, m

 Last day of the week reached college straight for General class. Maya miss came in and started the topic in process ie, Realism. Aims of Education, how realism educate us, it prepare us for life, helps in discovering truth through scientific method etc were dealt.  Concept "Harmony" that is harmony with real life,real life experiences these deal with the idea of realism. Ma'am asked to think about the small things that gives us happiness. Being a person who never prefer extravagance in life I could connect easily. Doing great things may not necessarily bring happiness, but giving a smile or any small help these do bring happiness, a sense of joy within us. Life’s meaning is within these small actions we do that bring about a pleasant aroma in us.  After that Archana miss came she continued the schools of psychology.  The last minute decorations, we all came a bit early to decorate our classrooms. First session was yoga. Sir as usual started off with a prayer song. Today we brushed up some postures that helps our neurological disorders. Mainly the postures were done in "vajrasana". We even learned some head rotations and eye exercises.  Next hour was taken by Maya miss. Ma'am taught about "Realism" today. Realism a concept that bares the idea that objects can exist even without being known at all. It's a philosophy of common sense. I could connect more with this compared to the other two concepts (idealism and naturalism). During the short break along with Sreepriya went to have some refreshments in canteen. To my surprise almost all were there ( canteen boy did earn alot today for sure! 😂)  Ancy mam came next to engage us.  In saree reached college. Today was our first assembly, 1st year M. Ed batch were the in charge. Back to school memories ya! The lost days were flashing in. With pledge assembly started followed by news and thought for the day. Campus news was the highlight how they structured the title news and it's content was so innovative and funny. A book too was published  for the college lead by Regu sir and Ancy mam. With Principal sir and Regu sir informative speech, function ended. We sang the college anthem and then national anthem and headed back to class. Yesterday group activity continued and then we all started to decorate our classroom. Together all of us put our efforts and ideas into making best.  Next hour principal sir along with another sir came in. Sir introduced our new Arts and Aesthetic teacher.  Since was not feeling well the day began so off. First hour was by Ancy miss she taught us new theory. Joju sir came next. Sir started off with an inspiring quote followed by the topic to be dealt. Before Maya miss came, with Sree priya went to canteen to have a snack. Maya miss taught more on Naturalism.  Then off for optional class during which discussed about seminar topics and then had lunch. Dizziness increased thus layed down to rest. Again optional hour, we had a group work to discuss  on the topic "behaviourism" which was done and my group leader Uthara chechi delivered the presentation. Giby miss came next and taught us on scope of Educational psychology. Joju sir came and shared some of his idea's on "Media". By this time my headache some how decreased and I could feel better. I even interacted and got to know some among the malayalam optional it was a great experience.  Thus the day ended.... 

 Monday morning, reached college early straight to class which welcomed me with pretty smiles. First class was by Giby mam she started off with asking questions to check if we revised or not after which she continued her class. Maya miss hour was followed. Topic- naturalism was taught. A video related to was also shown by miss which somehow aroused a patriotic and what should I say some kind of positive energy within me. Optional period followed since miss was absent we headed to library where we spend a quality time. I took two books related to my academics. After which headed to the reading room. Apart from going through the books that I took, I also looked around and went through the college articles and the campus pulse.  We all enjoyed lunch and then rushed to auditorium to attend the last talent hunt day. Malayalam optional was the first to perform. There programs were so intense and energetic that I too felt the urge to dance.  With Social science the talent hunt of 2020 - 2022

 The day finally arrived, yes! It's our talent hunt with a puffed bag headed to college early than usual. Straight to auditorium we all gathered for a quick rehearsal. By 9:30 there was an announcement that someone from outside is going to take a motivational session. With wonder filled thoughts headed to general classroom. Sir entered, he introduced himself as G. V Hari( who was a former student of Mttc) He by profession is a teacher who also does motivational speeches.  The very first presence of Sir itself energised us to be attentive ( a rare case). UTL (Understanding Teaching Learning) ya that was the session all about. The way of motivating us to be a better teacher or I would say a better human being was done in a unique way which was new to me. The trick of using a tambourine to catch our attention itself showed how efficient sir was. The song  in between surly kept our focus much more in with class.  Today in saree with mom headed to college. PTA was there so mom too had to come. With a unique intro(verses from three religious scriptures were read) the function started.we were given toffees and a thought as gifts.  The chief guest for the day was prof. Dr. Prasaad, former VC, SCERT Director and member of NCTE. After some valuable speech by principal and other guests the function ended with prize giving ceremony for the UGC qualified students.  Special PTA meeting for the parents then took place in the seminar Hall of the campus. We all after having tea and cake headed back to class.  Around 11:30 me and Sree priya went to see our mom's to lead them back home. To my surprise I got to know that my mom was selected as the vice president of PTA.  After lunch we had Ancy teacher's class. After which we were asked to go to auditorium to attend M. ED student teachers talent hunt. The program started with a news channel setup through which each person was introduced. A candle danc

 With a fresh mind headed to college. Joju sir was already in class. Sir actually came to discuss about tomorrow's function. After that sir gave some notes on technology and teaching. New technology representatives were also selected in which I too became one. We even clicked a picture with all the representatives.  Ancy mam came next she  taught us more on child psychology. Maya miss came since new students came she made them introduce. After which we studied more on philosophy. Optional period was given by mam to practice for our talent hunt. In the Afternoon class Anushya chechi took seminar. A few of us was called to help in some arrangements for psychology lab after which we headed for Giby miss class. Last hour which was arts we again practiced for talent hunt.  A busy day I would say..... Thus came to an end. 

 Today morning Giby miss taught us more about psychology. Maya miss came and she too continued with her subject. At the end of the class brother sang a song about how sunflower looked at the sun his load which was a new perception that I encountered. Optional class was next. After giving some notes we all submitted our first assignment.  After lunch two hours was handled by our principal. We all were excited to attend the very first session with Sir. The session begun with the info of which generation we belonged to." Y" generation that's ours were as " X" was our parents. The reason behind so was also shared by him.  After some good thoughts and messages by Sir the session concluded. Joju sir class followed. Panel discussion was today's program. All performed well.  After a quick practice for our upcoming talent hunt we all headed back home. 

 With yoga mat headed to college. "Vajrasana" the main posture we learned. After the one hour session Maya miss came philosophy class continued. A sudden game to find out our personality trait was played. The animal to which our personality trait matches was the game . Answering questions and noting the score and finally a total of 290points( I scored).I was so curios to know which animal I resembled to. After a wait it was revelled "Lion" yaa! The animal I resembled was non other than the king of forest. Ancy mam class followed. Optional period Aparna chechi taught us linguistics.  It was Sree lekshmi 's birthday the day before so we got some yummy cake.  After lunch joju sir class group discussion continued, every one presented well after which we rigorously practiced for our upcoming talent hunt program. A calm and beautiful day came to an end... 

Saree an attire that gives an official teacher look yap! I wore saree and stepped into college today. I was equally excited to see my friends who would be in the same. Colour filled classroom invited me. First hour being optional I got see the saree avatar of my mates in close. Uthara chechi took the seminar which was on 'language, culture, society and media'. After which we headed towards auditorium for our general session. Giby miss taught us more on psychoanalytic theory. Joju sir came next. It was time for presentation of the group discussion which we had a few days back. Most of the representators were from English optional that when all were made to sit on stage in semi circle the stage looked vibrant with colours of the saree. Uthara chechi  was the presenter ( second time of the day, poor colleen ! ) even though it was being shooted chechi without any tension, confidently presented the points. We all were a bit tensed since Ancy teacher had asked to prepare for a test on yesterday's portion. All were reading thoroughly and was preparing for it. Ancy mam entered but she didn't put the test since she got to know from seniors that we all were well prepared. After the intense session we all were asked to go to auditorium for viewing our seniors arts program. This was the first time we got to see all our seniors in one stretch. The marvellous experience I got to see is still running in my head. The theme of corona was effectively used by all groups. It was all together a  lively experience. Maya miss class followed, she gave an introduction to philosophy. New miss for our optional joined today, principal was there to introduce her for us.  Monday morning, headed to college. Today morning session was handled by a Master trainer named Joby under the title reflective Self Discovery.  The session was worth attending. We learned a lot of skills of being a good teacher most importantly a better human. Considering others feelings, situations before judging is the first lesson we learned. For a teacher it's important to consider the situation that made a student to do or behave in a certain way." RESPECT" is the key word of today's session that touched me. Respecting  elders or a few people whom one consider important is wrong we need to respect everyone be it a child of age 2 or an elder of age 60. Everyone should be given the respect that they deserve. Another important thing we need to learn is to say "NO" when ever one feels uncomfortable or if it's wrong to one's value.  With  new perspectives the class ended with vote of thanks.  Afternoon hour Maya miss taught us about the functions of
