Three day fest came to an end today ,lots to share but where to start, no idea at all .... Ekayana 64th Union Literary and Arts fest begun on 29th march ,the very first event Poetry writing kicked start the fest . Then events one by one followed ,in between participating the writing events the small may be 5minutes or so we would run for practising the coming days  events .Seriously how time flew by I have no idea at all... Day one itself  was hectic as I literally ran from room to room, am sure for many the situation was the same. However the first day of fest was superb and the overall vibe and energy made each of us to practice more to grab the overall trophy. Day2 -30/3/21 Arts day begun with a lamb lighting ceremony, the Chief guests inaugurated the function and thus begun "Avanija" our arts day celebration. I was all set to enter the stage. The first event was Kuchipodi ,though I never have in my life performed the event  ,with much love and support of my house members

 Last day of the week,morning hour Maya miss begun the class with some "Nellikai "stories How nellikai is an important part of our culture. The nutritious values it holds to the funny yet sensible proverbs the talk went for a while. After that remaining seminar we're conducted. A quick break in between so I along with Sreepriya rushed to canteen to have some snacks. When we entered ,Video arousing patriotic feeling was being played. A spontaneous " Bharathmada ki jai" from someone at back completed the scenario.  Miss the played the slide and the topic was          " National Integrity " Next hour Principal sir came in and continued Skill of Explaining ,Sir elaborated on the subskill Illustration.  The modes of illustration, inductive and deductive ,former being elaborating the concept followed by giving examples and later being giving examples first followed by drawing conclusions.  Thursday morning, first hour was by Maya miss our remaining seminar presentation one by one was being conducted . I was preparing for mine and anxiously waited for the turn . Maya miss was talking about women being given the status of goddesses and suddenly Uthara Chechi expressed her opinion on its take which was considering women to God reduces her power .Subash from social science class quickly countered it and expressed his view how it never reduces rather it meant giving Women power and respect. Guess what a "thakarpan "debate started ,many expressed their take on it. My question is where the root problem lies? I strongly believe that We ourselves are motivating the stereotypical mind set to future gen too. Considering Women to goddess should never mean considering them less or in a way making them powerless rather it should mean a sense of  giving power ,respect (then I believe it's fine) so where lies the problem?? It's definitely the way we take it !!! Change

 It's our Union Inauguration, with lots of excitement reached college .The campus had a new aura the official function begun at 9:30. Me along with the dance team rigorously practiced for the pooja dance. In between we headed to see the official Inaugural funtion too. Finally it was time to get ready . Uthara chechi helped us with makeup and hairstyling ,I was pleased that since there where only a few minutes left and we were still not ready with makeup and hair, My optional mates Sreepriya ,Anusha Chechi ,Devika Chechi ,Ganga Chechi , Sreelekshmi and caren came to help us ( it showed the love and helping mentality they had) .Though many had to prepare for other program and many had never done makeup and hair styling still they came forward to help ,And I have to say they did wonders iam taking this platform to thank them once again.  Finally we entered stage ,with Gods Grace everything went well.  Our fresher's day finally arrived with much enthusiasm got on Scooty and off to college. Our seniors were in pretty sarees as I entered class. I had cake with me , a surprise gift for our newly wed Aparna Chechi . Anusha Chechi and I through an adventures task got the wonderful yummy cake all the way from Marvel( Bakery shop) The gift and cake was a token of love from our class for our Aparna Chechi. With our Meekha miss presence we celebrated the occasion . After that our fresher's day celebration begun. Chief guest RJ Unni came and shared one of his personal experience in School days , Unni chetan (that's how we call him) talked about his favourite teacher who happens to be a Sister ,how she encouraged him to participate in programs and how her confidence in him made the R J Unni who he is today. After Joju sir  and Chairman Roshini chechi's speeches followed by a funny video presentation of MTTC life and vote of thanks the official program ended. Then begun the fun

Monday morning, reached college with a bundle of saree yap our uniform saree finally arrived . First hour Maya miss took class the topic was cultural diffusion after that, the remaining seminar was taken . Principal sir came next ,sir continued Micro Teaching Skills . A quick recap of last class was given to brush up our memory Heterogeneous thinking -natural characteristics of any group of things was the first point sir gave. To convert a heterogeneous classroom into homogeneous is one of the professional task faced by teachers. Then moved onto different question types. Developmental questions competency is based on the experience of teacher .Evaluation questions can by Summative(Assessment on spot),Formative(time based) or Prognostic(predictive) in nature . Then moved onto Aptness which is depending on the age group. Then new two terms probing and redirection was taught. Probing meant the ability of Teachers to provide clues to the students in order to get the correct response. Redir

 The last day of commission , our seniors with excellence completed their commission and viva sessions. As an end to the 3 hectic days we all got payasam as a sweet reward. After lunch Maya miss conducted the  seminars ,we were the first optional to present ,about 8 presented since union related discussions were fixed after 3pm ,rest of the seminar session was postponed to Monday .  The Union inaugural program falls on Wednesday and that was the discussion all about the different events planned for the day were announced. A new initiative of  college band was put forward. Other exciting events we're also announced. In between it started raining (rain in Theophilus has a beauty of its own ...) When the selection process for band was going on  ,with my buddies enjoyed the beauty rain offered....  Today the second day of commission, till 1'o clock our senior's took class each of them presented their skill effectively. After lunch Joju sir took the last two hours. Seminar presentations were done. Sir apart from that showed us three videos related to technology. First one being a video related to heart ,we observed how audio ,visual and text are incorporated. The other two videos were related to conveying messages. First giving the idea of togetherness to overcome difficult times second being how a 50 rupee note used for a better cause by a child symbolising love ,care and helping the ones in need. After discussing merits and demerits of social media class ended......

 Today our seniors had their commission ,since pandemic made it impossible to do it at school we we're the students for them. Each of our seniors took class brilliantly we all could learn a lot from them.  After lunch Maya miss took the first hour . It was evident from our face that we all were tired and not in a mood to study. Mam thus didn't teach rather she came with a PowerPoint the heading was "Self Confidence and Self Esteem" A few weeks back we all had given a letter mentioning our strength and weakness todays session was based on it. Mam noticed a common problem mentioned in the letters which was loss of confidence and self esteem.  Tuesday , morning first two hours was taken by Ancy mam. A new thinker Maria Montessori was taught. In between to break the monotonous of the class ,mam asked someone to come forward to sing ,me along with my friends pushed Devika Chechi to go forward ,Chechi sang a beautiful song and thus refreshed us. After a tea break Maya miss hour, mam helped us to prepare a to-do list so that we can plan well and move ahead with our works and studies. Mam taught about culture today.  Then joju Sir came in and shared a few points on blackboard as an aid. Since seniors we're busy with their work we had our lunch in the seminar hall. It was fun to sit in circle and share food,it took me back to school day memories.... Afternoon session was taken by Joju sir , sir taught more on visual and audio visual aids.  A new week ,reached college when entered class all were busy adding final touch to the induction report. First hour Giby miss came mam asked questions to refresh our knowledge. An interesting therapy "the Umm Umm therapy" was taught ya its basically the way we release our emotional state to someone be it friend ,mother or any human ,where the listener just give Umm... As response .so it's just giving out or releasing our emotions after which we feel ease. Next two hours Principal sir along with Induction program coordinators came and one student representing each School had to present the Induction report. From my Induction school (St.Johns) Nikhil gave the presentation. After that oath taking ceremony of union members took place. After lunch special program conducted by Women cell of our college where lady officers gave a class on self defence.  Friday morning after the Shivarathri holiday headed college . Morning hour by Maya miss ,ma'am started off with  asking about our two day Induction program. Fathima came forward to share her two day experience. Maam then jumped straight into Subject matter, Educational Sociology was todays class all about. Ancy ma'am came next since we are running out of time ma'am tried to finish off Froebal         Third hour was quite interesting a session on Communicative English under the leadership of Maya miss and Joju sir was organised. The class begun by making us listen to an English song . First we were asked to view the video and then try to write down the lyrics . later we we're asked to just listen with our eyes closed and then write . It was a good experience since I could find out how much hearing capacity I had.   School it's a past that holds a major part of who we are today'..... The last day of Induction ,with lots of excitement headed to school with the team. After marking attendance straight to 10-B yap the class that was allotted for our team. Back to my school days thoughts I started scanning  nook and corner of the classroom guess what lot's of artist I could find ,yes! innovative drawings filled the desk and benches , I even captured one in my phone. We then headed to interact with the staffs of the School ,we managed to get a school diary too. Got to know a lot more regarding School system. Got the chance to interact with different subject Teachers too. One interesting update was that there is a farm club in which veggies are grown within the School premises and  once they reach harvest they are either used for preparation of midday meal( which the School provide)or are sold to the faculty. "Induction" day 1 In saree headed to college from there with the team off to 'St. John's Model Higher Secondary School'. My first Induction day thus begun. We met the Headmistress Rani M Alex and marked the attendance and headed to monitor the school premises. We split according to our optionals ,me along with Sister and Varsha chechi looked around the whole school campus. We even got the chance  to interact with some students.  Seeing kid's busy with assignment and exam stress took me back to my school life, felt nostalgic.  Took some pics of school and also with our Co - Student Teachers. The school as whole was spacious . There were enough open space for students to play games. Canteen facilities we're also available. We even went through some magazines and newsletters while visiting the library of the school . With Nikhil (from physical science) got the chance to interview the Headmistress.  Today first hour was by Giby miss the hour begun by a beautifull prayer by Parvathy. Mam then taught us about personality traits after that Maya miss class, the last school "Humanism" was finished thus an end to this unit. Mam asked us to start preparing MCQ questions for our general papers. During optional period election of class representatives for Union were done, three of my classmates were elected. After lunch, since today is Women's day a special song was dedicated for all women across the world by the women cell of the college. Next hour Joju sir took a quick session in which sir mentioned the deadlines of various assignments and presentation After that meeting for selection of various Union members for each posts were done, we all were asked to gather to meet this year's Union representatives. Information and instructions regarding tomorrow's induction programs were given after that. Looking forward for tomorrow, excited and nervous at the same time, hop

 Demo class two, seniors gave an exceptionally well demo class for us, lots of new and innovative teaching skills were presented. Around 12 the session ended. After having lunch a session on "Library" was taken by Renjini (our librarian) digital library facilities and the immense resources available in college library were introduced to us. We were motivated to use the resource available in our college Library. "Mttc.libsoft.net" our digital library website were e- resources, e- newspapers and career sites and many more like facilities are provided to us.  After that Principal sir and a mam came to inform about our Induction program which will start from the coming Tuesday. We were also informed about this year's Union which will be formed in the coming Monday.  Last hour went to library and then to reading room andsspent some time, After which headed back home.  An end to this week's mirage moments....
