 The day has arrived... I officially graduated from Mar Theophilus Training College. The journey started on 6th Jan, the urge to write the blog was purely coz of my love to pen down moments. As it went down it became a routine. When it was said that we need to update blog as part of our course  i initially felt stressful . I didn't want others to be in any trouble coz of my daily update . When it all came to an end am happy that my blog actually turn out to be useful 💜 (especially 4th sem😂) Lots to share but I think some should be left as such coz we might ruin the beauty with which it's inked in the mind. All i have to say is a big thankyou to all those who were with me in this journey 💜 Mirage moments ends here with the hope of unfolding a new chapter some day 💫

FRIDAY ...... By Priyanka Pradeep on 30/4/21

 Yesterday that is 29/4/21 we only had one session  that was Physical Education. Sir made us do some warm-up exercises. We were beforehand told to prepare ourselves (ie, dress in comfortable clothes and to be in a spacious room) After the warm-up , we did some breathing exercise in Padmasana. Today 30/4/21 first hour was Joju Sir . Our friend Biji who sadly met with an accident who is in hospital recovering , we begun the session with a prayer especially for her speedy recovery. Then moved on to seminar sessions. SIET, CIET were some of the topics taken. Maya miss came next ,today social science took the seminar. The main topic  dealt was caste system. The topic was dealt in depth. After each presenter mam added some more points and even threw some questions for us to think about. This month's mirage moments end here.....

 "Snap with a plant ",the mobile photography contest results we're ready ,after handing over the poster to Principal sir got ready for today's online class. First hour was Optional,today's Reading and Reflection was by Sreelekshmi and Megha. The first book which was by Benyamin "Goat days" was presented by Sreelekshmi. The depth of loss or the depression state that the book leads to as told by her and as well as maam filled curiosity in me (am definitely Gonna read it) "The god of small thing's " by Arundathi Roy was the next ,this book is very much familiar to all. It was nice to hear the story once again. Maya miss came next .The seminar session continued. Types of corruption was the topic presented by Physical Science optional. The session was informative . First session was by Maya miss. Seminar presentations were done. Social evils and corruptions. Giby mam took the next session. A beautiful prayer song by sister lighty  started off the seminar . I was prepared to take mine but my turn as usual didn't happen🙆 After Aparna chechi's presentation, Maam gave an introduction to Multiple intelligence(MI) . The viral video of medical students Janaki and Naveen crept in as maam was discussing. "Rasputin" the song on which the students danced was the  cause. Maam took Rasputin (Grigori Rasputin)as an example to show MI. How he used his MI for bad profits ,that's not the way how we should utilise it. Maam thus wanted to convey that we should use our multiple intelligence for good cause...

 Today first hour was optional class. Aleena, SreePriya and Anooja Chechi did their reading and reflection. Two books were by Paulo Coelho , he is the author who's books that I can read again and again yet get a new outlook each time. After the formal class we discussed about our Optional program that was organised as part of English language day. Mam divided the responsibilities among us for faster and coordinated results. Second session was with Maya miss. Today Malayalam optional presented their seminar. It was well executed. By 1 PM the seminar ended.

 Today After a break Maya mam took class. National integration was the topic. Mam discussed the barriers as well as the ways that promote National integration. The class was more like a discussion session though it was online, Mam called out names so as to make the session interactive . Everyone gave different views and points on which mam added more . I was taken back to my school days when mam put up the question how national integration is build among children in schools. The different community songs that i used to sing flashed in.(Kendriya vidyalaya followed this routine of community song every Wednesday) This week's mirage moments ends here....

After the late night poster making and other last minute works .The day finally arrived. April 22 World Earth day yes! Our Eco Club "Prakriti"  organised our first program a mobile photography contest as part of earth day 2021. The preparations started 2 weeks back , all the members as per our Club head Deepthi Mam's advice and guidance started our preparations. A small video with a message was the first task. Being the president of the club I had the responsibility to gather the videos . Group members actively participated and supported to make the process easier. Each of them took out time from the busy schedule of online classes and seminar preparations and helped me to set the final video .  We successfully forwarded the poster and video on time to our Principal sir . Iam so happy that everyone liked the video. The contest which was held from 2to 4pm ,we had the tension whether it would be a success but with everyone's whole hearted participation it turned out to

 Today Giby mam took the first hour .Seminar session for psychology paper started today we English were the first to present. As usual maam asked any one of us to start the class with a prayer but ma'am suddenly added why not one from English optional .  I always wanted to try and hence grabbed the opportunity and sang " Allah Tero Naam Ishwar Tero Naam" one of my favourite prayer song from the Album Hum Dono sung by legend Lata Mangeshkar  Maam congratulated for introducing a Hindi prayer song and then moved on to our class presentation. Guilford's structure of intellect was the topic for the day. Caran ,Georgeena,Anjitha and Sreelekshmi presented the main ideas .During the presentation ma'am asked each of us to frame a question . After each presentation ma'am called us to present the  question   and one that she called had to answer it as well. Thus the question answer interaction made the concept memorisation even more easier. Optional hour followed. Todays

 Ancy mam took the first session today. Tagore was the next philosopher dealt. When the name "Rabindranath Tagore " is heard Gitanjali automatically pops up in my heard. The beauty and depth the poems hold itself defines how great a writer he is.  Tagore is one among the poet's who influenced me to love the magic and power that poetry can bring. George Thomas Sir took  the next hour. After a long break we we're having our physical Education class hence I was surely charged up . Sir shared the ways to keep mentally and physically healthy .How sports can help to bring  total well-being is to be realised especially in the current pandemic situation. Joju sir took the next class ,Seminars were conducted. Child abuse was the topic that stood out today. The harsh reality of how children are being victims really pains me a lot.  Proper guidance and at the same time  effective education should be given to lessen this crime. Weekend was bit hectic since seminar preparations and some other activities were there. In the last class , one of my friend wrote a poem out of my personal blog page name "Baffled Tunes" it was really nice of her to think about what comes up in her mind hearing those words.. In response I like to say, You said you don't baffle with tunes But are you sure you don't ever do ? Baffling is not a bad idea,I think As it caused those poems to ink In the end as you said ,a baffling life There you go you too fell in the pile Baffled yes! that's how it should be Then can you bring out the best tunes  Life holds... Monday morning started off with optional class Varsha Chechi and Georgeena took their Reading and reflection. Joju Sir came next ,seminar sessions continued. Important and effective seminar we're taken CMI, CMC were the topics dealt. In the end sir even did an evaluation by asking us questions thus involving others too in the online seminar session.

First hour joju sir came and  the remaining seminar session was conducted. Our class(English) took the seminar ,each one performed well. I was waiting for my turn but due to time  shortage the class stopped with Aparna chechi's presentation (probably Monday only I will get the chance). Next hour Ancy mam came and taught about Mahatma Gandhi (the next thinker ). Gandhiji's aim of education and his works were discussed . Chance for us to answer was given, many students came forward to express what they know about him. Maam shared the PPT so that we could get a better idea about him.

 Today first hour was optional. Reading and reflection was done  the book" The fault in our star's" it's review discussion took me back to  the movie adaptation of the same. The emotions that it radiates came across  , it's a wonderful book that I would recommend any one  ,so ya ! those who haven't read it  must give it a try. After that Giby miss took the next hour .Class started with a prayer song by Georgia. Maam taught us about Frustration tolerence techniques followed by  types of conflicts.

 12/4/21 From 9 to 11:30 we had our Optional class. The remaining Reading and reflection was taken. Ganga Chechi , Caran and Devika Chechi presented their books ,it was an engaging session. Next session was by Principal sir. Sir started off with a quick recollection of previous class in which we discussed about chalkboard writing skill. Todays session was about Classroom Management. Every teacher has a unique classroom management. The important lesson we should keep in mind is that "Before you teach your student ,you should learn your student" hence creating a rapport with students is essential in classroom management. Then sir mentioned about How Teachers should be a Facilitator rather than a Provider. PCK scale was the next point given . PCK scale (pedagogical content knowledge) is an important way to measure the Teachers competency ,a teacher should use the scale in classroom management .  Maintaining a proper time schedule is yet another subskill under classroom managemen

 Todays online session started with Ancy mam class .Plato was the thinker we dealt with. Before getting into  topic mam mentioned about the Google classroom created for sharing study materials and discussion . Maam shared the link and we all opened it and obtained the PowerPoint(PPT) notes on Plato.  A 10 minute break was given for us to go through the PPT to jot down the important point's .Class resumed after that and ma'am in detail taught about Plato. Optional hour followed. The remaining reading and reflection was conducted. Anusha Chechi and sister shared their reflection on the books "Iam Malala "and "The Alchemist".

 Yesterday Principal sir announced that online classes were going to be restarted . Though the relaxing mode dimmed the excitement to see friends (even though virtually) made me get into gear. First hour was by Joju sir .The seminar session were conducted. The first presentation was by Parvathy who discussed about e-learning . One by one students from Natural science optional delivered their seminar. The next session was Giby miss. Maam gave points on personality characteristics. We were asked to think about whether we love our body and mind enough. The cyclical structure of life was one topic that gave many the opportunity to share their perspective . Different interpretation of life as a cycle was given. In my opinion like a cyclical manner life goes on, hinders may come but still we should move on. Thus the days online class came to an end.

 Today competency building class was conducted. Brahman Nayakam sir was the resource person. The class started around 10:15 . The unique introduction sir gave referring to sita, hanuman and jambavan itself engaged us in for the session. Sir then referred to his story of covid ulsavam ya! how one by one each member of his family became victim's The core of the class was about what covid era taught us.  C- conscious O- opportunity V- values and vision  I- individual growth  D- Development  Stress management was the next session. It depends on how we react to situations that's what decides the range or level of stress. "Fight or fly " that's the choice we have. Coping with situation is what we need to learn or build. THE GIRL WHO INSPIRED ME by Priyanka Pradeep on 15/2/2021

 Monday morning, reached college early straight to class which welcomed me with pretty smiles. First class was by Giby mam she started off with asking questions to check if we revised or not after which she continued her class. Maya miss hour was followed. Topic- naturalism was taught. A video related to was also shown by miss which somehow aroused a patriotic and what should I say some kind of positive energy within me. Optional period followed since miss was absent we headed to library where we spend a quality time. I took two books related to my academics. After which headed to the reading room. Apart from going through the books that I took, I also looked around and went through the college articles and the campus pulse.  We all enjoyed lunch and then rushed to auditorium to attend the last talent hunt day. Malayalam optional was the first to perform. There programs were so intense and energetic that I too felt the urge to dance.  With Social science the talent hunt of 2020 - 2022

THE FIRST DAY :ORIENTATION by Priyanka Pradeep 6/1/2021

 A new phase of my life begins here. Choosing Mar Theophilus Training College(Mttc) to do my B. Ed was a not less than a big deal. Spending my degree and post graduate degree in ivanios made me  fall in love with Mar Ivanios Vidya Nagar, may be that's why choosing Mttc came natural to me. Like any other kid going to a new school I too entered  with lots of mixed feelings. The orientation program was being conducted in a hall. Entering with a smile hidden within the mask I stepped into my life's new chapter  The hall was already half filled. I later got to know that M. Ed batch too was occupied  with us. The whole inaugural function went well, the teachers were giving friendly vibes. The little interactive section by  Dr. Maya. S (assistant professor) was memorable. The very first chance to face the audience and to perform happened unexpectedly that it made my day.  A session on time management conducted by Dr. V. Reghu sir was also enduring.
