 The day has arrived... I officially graduated from Mar Theophilus Training College. The journey started on 6th Jan, the urge to write the blog was purely coz of my love to pen down moments. As it went down it became a routine. When it was said that we need to update blog as part of our course  i initially felt stressful . I didn't want others to be in any trouble coz of my daily update . When it all came to an end am happy that my blog actually turn out to be useful 💜 (especially 4th sem😂) Lots to share but I think some should be left as such coz we might ruin the beauty with which it's inked in the mind. All i have to say is a big thankyou to all those who were with me in this journey 💜 Mirage moments ends here with the hope of unfolding a new chapter some day 💫

Initial Orientation "Project" By Priyanka Pradeep

 Today our juniors went for field trip thus general hour teachers were not there . First hour was optional during which we completed the pending works. At 11 am we had Principal sir's class. Initial Orientation of the project was the session about. Project  Sir presented sample works for guiding us to select and prepare topics for the project which will begin in the coming semester. After Lunch went to library to refer the sample project works Last hour union organised a program in the memory of late  actress K.P.A.C Lalitha.

22/2/22....by Priyanka Pradeep

Honestly was not in a mood to attend the class   I was unable to divert my mind as those smiling faces were flashing in . Yap !! i do miss those children whom I taught for the past one month. First hour giby miss came , miss taught about Lifeskills .  1) Self awareness 2) Empathy 3) Communication 4) Decision making 5)Critical thinking 6) Creative thinking 7) Problem solving 8) Inter personal relationship 9) Intrapersonal relationship 10)coping with emotions Then we had Maya miss class , miss taught us about "four pillars of  learning "after lunch it was optional hour , Since miss is absent George sir called us( English optional) to conduct the yoga test . Though was tensed, without much problem succeeded in completing the test. Today Anusha Chechi was having her birthday we attempted to make her day special . Am happy that we were able to bring a wide smile on her face 🎉🎉❤️

 This is officially the last day of  our teaching practice. I stepped in at 9am and after keeping my bag in the staff room came down and got to know that jolly miss was searching for me. When I met her she informed that principal sir from our college has come for  visit. Me along with Reshma  met sir and we we're asked to bring our record book .  After signing the record ,with jolly miss , principal sir and Madam we three clicked a picture . Then as it was time for prayer we headed back to staffroom. I got  my record book signed by Preethi miss and thus finished off my works as part of the training period. I only had one class that too last hour. So i finished off the questionnaire related to study habits . I was happily interacting with the teachers and then suddenly one miss came in with a bag containing my favourite' paal payasam' and' boli' she distributed it to all .  It was a happy moment to be cherished. my last class was with 8th C students .  Today reached the school premises around 8:55. Parked my scooty and headed straight to the staff room. Few teacher's were present after wishing them i sat down in the space that was provided to me. At sharp 9:30 the prayer started after which i headed to 8th C.  Students were very excited as the batch one student's are seeing me in person for the first time. Their mask failed to hide the smile (so do the eyes). Though all were prepared for the revision test      i decided to finish off the extra lesson that was assigned to me. One hour went quickly and it was time to leave . Students were eager to know whether I will be there on Friday . I assured them that I will and it's gonna be my last class with them .  Next hour was free hence sat in the staff room and went through the question answers provided at the end of the chapter that is left to be taken. Teaching practice is extended for one more week  I didn't expect it to get extended so i had finished off my portions and all other extra observation classes the past week itself. When it was officially announced i had no clue what I will do the coming one week.  finally decided  a revision session which would help the students to recollect the main points  covered . Today as offline classes restart i informed my concerned teacher about the extended news. She was not well and when enquired got to know that she is tested positive for covid 19. Miss thus will not be there ,she asked about whether I completed the assigned portions Since i have ,she asked if it's possible to cover another chapter that is yet to be completed by her. I couldn't deny knowing her situation             ( though it's hard to cover one lesson within 2 class left). One more week to go... By Priyanka Pradeep on 6/2/22

Finally  managed to get through one more week  Meekha mam observed my class on Tuesday , i was all prepared to give my best. Hopefully everything went well.  Miss too liked and was impressed by my way of interacting with students . The  feedback call from her was a big relief. As i had planned i could finish off all three teacher observations.  I even finished off lesson plans prepared for the week. As hardly one more week is left ,i tried to interact with the students to get to know them more. To my surprise discovered many talented singers  , it was a pleasure to hear their melodious songs.  Few even asked me to sing for them, from which i smartly escaped.  Maybe next time I will be trapped 👐 so better be prepared with one  Looking forward to coming days...

 Today competency building class was conducted. Brahman Nayakam sir was the resource person. The class started around 10:15 . The unique introduction sir gave referring to sita, hanuman and jambavan itself engaged us in for the session. Sir then referred to his story of covid ulsavam ya! how one by one each member of his family became victim's The core of the class was about what covid era taught us.  C- conscious O- opportunity V- values and vision  I- individual growth  D- Development  Stress management was the next session. It depends on how we react to situations that's what decides the range or level of stress. "Fight or fly " that's the choice we have. Coping with situation is what we need to learn or build. Sir even  taught us how to survive this phase and utilise the lessons covid period made us realise . THE GIRL WHO INSPIRED ME by Priyanka Pradeep on 15/2/2021

 Monday morning, reached college early straight to class which welcomed me with pretty smiles. First class was by Giby mam she started off with asking questions to check if we revised or not after which she continued her class. Maya miss hour was followed. Topic- naturalism was taught. A video related to was also shown by miss which somehow aroused a patriotic and what should I say some kind of positive energy within me. Optional period followed since miss was absent we headed to library where we spend a quality time. I took two books related to my academics. After which headed to the reading room. Apart from going through the books that I took, I also looked around and went through the college articles and the campus pulse.  We all enjoyed lunch and then rushed to auditorium to attend the last talent hunt day. Malayalam optional was the first to perform. There programs were so intense and energetic that I too felt the urge to dance.  With Social science the talent hunt of 2020 - 2022

THE FIRST DAY :ORIENTATION by Priyanka Pradeep 6/1/2021

 A new phase of my life begins here. Choosing Mar Theophilus Training College(Mttc) to do my B. Ed was a not less than a big deal. Spending my degree and post graduate degree in ivanios made me  fall in love with Mar Ivanios Vidya Nagar, may be that's why choosing Mttc came natural to me. Like any other kid going to a new school I too entered  with lots of mixed feelings. The orientation program was being conducted in a hall. Entering with a smile hidden within the mask I stepped into my life's new chapter  The hall was already half filled. I later got to know that M. Ed batch too was occupied  with us. The whole inaugural function went well, the teachers were giving friendly vibes. The little interactive section by  Dr. Maya. S (assistant professor) was memorable. The very first chance to face the audience and to perform happened unexpectedly that it made my day.  A session on time management conducted by Dr. V. Reghu sir was also enduring.
