One last time 💜 by Priyanka Pradeep on 18/11/22

Monday morning,
Mom dropped me at college,Today’s phonetic lab was by Aleena kutty "Tour" and "castle" two new words correct pronunciation was taught to other optional mates. First hour Meekha miss came, the remaining seminar session was taken. Around 11 (break time) had coffee and after which Principal sir took class.
Sir continued his class on Micro Teaching. Multi sensory approach - using more than one sense. This approach is essential because this lead the students to a 360% learning. Then sir put the Question whether all teachers are trained? According to sir 10% are born teacher and the rest trained.
Sir also mentioned about the different kinds of learners - Auditory, kinesthetic, visual etc...
Then moved on to the skill of questioning in which sir discussed on types of questions lower middle and higher order. Sir asked one girl who belonged to Malayalam optional to frame a question, her question was what are the things that most attracts you in nature?
With the example sir taught us how to frame questions, it should be simple and at the same time effective. Questions can be closed or opened type. Open questions have multiple possibilities which allows divergent thinking where as Closed questions are unidirectional hence only convergent thinking is possible.
Sir also mentioned about Developmental and Evaluation question types. The former is one that occurs during natural progress of class ie, formative (in-situ) whereas the latter is summative that is its an advanced preparation to test the current progress of the student.
Sir mentioned about Blooms Taxonomy in order to make us understand lower order, middle order and higher order questions. Revised blooms taxonomy was also discussed.
With the explanation of content stem and question stem the class ended. Sir even gave a question for us to workout and come which was' how pedagogue is synonym to teacher' ?
Afternoon session was again optional. Our micro teaching session was conducted few of my friends presented today, rest including me are left which probably be finished by tomorrow.
Then in our college group a message from principal sir came that as part of the closing of the community camp session of our seniors we will be given "payasam". We all happily drank the cup of payasam and then went to library.
After spending the last hour there, went to canteen, Anjitha chechi and her husband (who came to pick her) treated us with ice-cream. After a long break I had tryed ice cream (not a cold food lover hehe..) chechi even gave me a ride down.
Thus the day was filled with lots of sweet filled memories... and ya I missed my minion majime 🤖
